Thank you for you kindly worded and considered opinion.
However, instead of taking the opportunity to suggest a solution, you've
resorted to polemic, so there's very little we can do to action you
complaint.
If you care to make a concrete suggestion for how we can improve things --
keeping in mind that the current design actually has a purpose behind it,
and any proposal needs to acknowledge the reasons behind that purpose --
feel free to reopen this ticket.
