Comment (by anonymous): 1. No prior version of any software should have un-annotated documentation that claims the associated software it works, but does not. it literally takes two seconds to say 'depricated' on the docs. Further, the vast majority of the people in the world will have assorted old versions of Linux, the manufacturers of which will distribute old versions of the software. If I do a 'yum install' today, it's current software. If a version is broken, TELL US ABOUT IT! 2) You are wrong. I provided you with the exact technique to reproduce the bug; you just do not wish to fix an old version of the software. 3) I did not say that Django was 'totally worthless'. I said that a beginner's tutorial that claims broken software works in a specific way was worthless, and I stand by that statement. And, I WAS using and referring to version 1.4 of the documentation, as I've stated before. I've done software dev my whole life. This bug report is what happens when you ignore maintaining the documentation. -- Ticket URL: <https://code.djangoproject.com/ticket/22059#comment:6> Django <https://code.djangoproject.com/> The Web framework for perfectionists with deadlines. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Django updates" group.
