 I do believe this is a security problem and I have used security@ to bring
 attention to this issue. In February and March of 2014 I exchanged emails
 with Russell Keith-Magee and Florian Apolloner who both asked me not to
 discuss this publicly. Russell even said that the core team was
 considering this as a security issue and that they were discussing how to
 solve it (I'm not on the security@ list).

 @tomchristie above already hints that there is a problem with the current
 implementation so I'm not revealing anything new.
