#35764: Maybe add links to tickets and/or PRs in the release notes --------------------------------+----------------------------------------- Reporter: Kevin Renskers | Type: Uncategorized Status: new | Component: Documentation Version: 5.0 | Severity: Normal Keywords: | Triage Stage: Unreviewed Has patch: 0 | Needs documentation: 0 Needs tests: 0 | Patch needs improvement: 0 Easy pickings: 0 | UI/UX: 0 --------------------------------+----------------------------------------- When I am reading Django's release notes, sometimes I come across something where I want to know how (or why) it was implemented, read the reasoning behind it, stuff like that. Or maybe I come across something where I want to change how it works - for example [https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/5.1/releases/5.1/#django-contrib-admin this feature] doesn't work super well for me and I want to know what code to look at to know how I might change this. If the release notes would point to a ticket and/or a PR I could immediately see where to start.
I think it would be super helpful to link to the ticket and/or PR that implemented the feature. No idea how complex that would be? -- Ticket URL: <https://code.djangoproject.com/ticket/35764> Django <https://code.djangoproject.com/> The Web framework for perfectionists with deadlines. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Django updates" group.
