I think we should remove `**extra` (possibly with a deprecation cycle) for
the builtin `Func` subclasses. This is a lot of complexity for a pretty
rare scenario. I think if a vendor needs to require/allow extra arguments
to a custom template, that's the point at which they should provide a
custom subclass.
