That's because you are following the wrong tutorial from the
djangoproject.com web site.
Look at the big ''"This document is for Django's SVN release, which can be
significantly different from previous releases. Get old docs here: Django
1.0"'' txt at the top of the page and follow the link that will take you
to http://docs.djangoproject.com/en/1.0//intro/tutorial02/#intro-
tutorial02.
The documentation included with your copy of Django also is the right one.
