#14398: runfcgi umask option should use literal value --------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Reporter: petteyg | Owner: nobody Status: new | Milestone: Component: django-admin.py | Version: 1.2 Resolution: | Keywords: Stage: Accepted | Has_patch: 1 Needs_docs: 0 | Needs_tests: 1 Needs_better_patch: 0 | --------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Comment (by aptiko):
In C yes, but not in Unix generally. The chmod and umask commands accept octals, like chmod 755 or umask 222. Here we are talking about a command, `./manage.py ... umask=...` As a Unix user, I would definitely expect to write an octal there. As a programmer, I would expect the leading zero convention only when writing a program. -- Ticket URL: <http://code.djangoproject.com/ticket/14398#comment:5> Django <http://code.djangoproject.com/> The Web framework for perfectionists with deadlines. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Django updates" group.
