Here are a few other things, in addition to what Robert said, that could go in the next iteration of the screencast -- * Use the brand-new (and undocumented) manage.py instead of django-admin.py for project-specific stuff. This way you don't have to set DJANGO_SETTINGS_MODULE or futz with the Python path, which is crufty. * Show the brand-new (and undocumented) "Welcome to Django" page. I've been itching to make an official screencast but haven't done so because I know APIs are going to change. So it's great that somebody else stepped in to provide one in the interim.
