Can someone point me to a Django list aimed more towards "newbies"?
I don't want to bother you all with my mundane, trivial questions but I still would love to jump head first into Django. I just can't get it working right. I have not been able to get past the first step of the tutorial. I am not a "programmer" but I have built and hacked plenty of PHP/MySQL apps. I am not a sys admin although I can make my way around a CLI and have a decent understanding of Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP/PERL/BASH/etc and I'm in the process of digging in and learning the admin/security side of things. For client/production work I have team of devs to do all that fun stuff. Right now I just want to tinker with it in my "free time". I still can't get Django/MySQLdb install and working together so if anyone has a how-to posted somewhere, a lead on a "rookie" friendly list, etc. I would love to check it/them out. Thanks!
