I tried it before --- IronPython didn't support Python standard library. Unless they provide a bridge to use the library, it is next to impossible to run Django on it. Maybe some day, when somebody rewrites Django from the ground up to use CLR libraries instead of Python standard library, or somebody adds the bridge.
