I've managed to solve the problem - it wasn't in the admin.py - it was with 
my models.py.

*class Entry():*
*    stuff*
*
*
changed to:

*class Entry(models.Model):*
*    stuff*
*
*
I don't understand what that did, but it was the root of my problem.
