Hello Alex. Yes, when you install django using *"pip install django*" or "*python setup.py install*" directly from the source, the code goes to the correct directory inside of the "current" sites-packages.
To find out where your installed django code is placed you can simply run: $ python -c "import django; print(django.__path__)" Hope it helps.
