Dude, that code scares *me*, so no need apologise. Manipulator and
related objects contain some seriously impressive voodoo, but it gives
me a headache to have to debug things in that area. My normal plan is to
try and get Russell K-M interested in it. But he doesn't seem to have
taken the bait yet.

Again, thanks for looking at this. It saves somebody else a bit of time
tracking it down and replicating it. Looks like a real bug. Much
appreciated.
