Since its in the database it is not available in your filesystem or for 
immediate display.
to check if its there

./manage.py shell

import yourmodel as Document

print Document.objects.all()

i would suggest researching pythons module StringIO  and the ability to 
write files.
Try writing the image to a file.

Finally, when you get all of that working, if you want to display images, 
research static file urls. like youpage.com/static/images/image_1.jpeg
