you can override model save method:

for example

class Student(models.Model):
    name = models.CharField(blabla)

    def save(self, *force_insert=False*, *force_update=False*):
        # call spesific python method
        # operations
        super(Student, self).save(force_insert=force_insert,
force_update=force_update)
