So this might be a reaspon why you got confused. Maybe you wanted to write about somebody else, while you read the advice I had given to other people: „ Never pay in advance unless you know the programmer. Always fix milestones and pay after the milestones“.
I don't think he's confusing you with anyone. A bit of searching shows that you seem to have riled him and some others up by mass mailing unsolicited 'business proposals' to a bunch of django people back in 2008.
