Could someone please explain what kind of a list would make this work:

{% for country in countries %}
    <table>
    {% for city in country.city_list %}
        <tr>
        <td>Country #{{ forloop.parentloop.counter }}</td>
        <td>City #{{ forloop.counter }}</td>
        <td>{{ city }}</td>
        </tr>
    {% endfor %}
    </table>
{% endfor %}
