+1 for Webfaction also. I've only had to use customer service once and they were unhelpful, but the way the hosting site is set up make it trivial to create new Django apps, subdomains, and static sites for media URLs. For slightly less than I used to pay for fairly simplistic hosting that couldn't do much more than run PHP I'm getting everything I need.
