What i wonder is how did the package get out of Germany and screens through the U.S. customs service to even get to PA? Although I wouldn't have complained about it slipping through, just another sign that homeland security sucks.
How can 70,000 beans can get that far? To put that quantity in perspective,
you can fit, using an average size bean, 1600 beans (max) in a ziploc
sandwich bag. That means someone didn't notice a package or suit case
filled with 43.75 (sorry that's the engineer in me) sandwich size bags of
beans (wipping drool from my mouth)? MAN!!!
There is one myth in the article though. 70k beans is not worth as much as
$3 million. I don't care what city, state, or country you live in, take any
conversion rate into account, but no one is going to pay $42.86 (once
again, the engineer in me) for a bean.....straight up. That's just what the
government would like to charge for beans if they made it legal and
regulated it.
