Sorry, I meant the executable. Was the version linked against 0.9.7 from a pkg that installed to /usr/bin, and your built version installed to /usr/local/bin. Or is that what you meant, I'm not familiar with rpath...

It tells the dynamic library loader to look in those paths that it specifies first, before it starts to look in the regular paths specified in /etc/ld.so.conf and /etc/ld.so.conf.d/* if those exist.
