Hello,

I had forgotten that I had found dl-ticket-service and subscribed to this list. After the recent flurry of messages - that I at first thought were spam - lol - I googled and re-discovered this excellent looking tool. I remember looking at it, but when it didn't do something that I would need (for my main client that would benefit from it), I let other things push it to the back burner.

Anyway...

I have a client that uses Thunderbird, and deals with a lot of large attachments that involve money, so would benefit greatly from this tool, but it doesn't have a feature that they would need (at least there is nothing in the docs about it). I also don't know if this feature is something that would require a modification to Thunderbird's native Filelink feature, or could be added by the DL for Thunderbird Addon...

Anyway, they would need the ability to have a generated hash of the uploaded file included in the email body along with the download link to the file, so that they could prove, if necessary, which file was linked in the email.

They are a Media Buying service, and routinely email large files that are Ad creative (hi-res PDFs, .mpgs, etc), and occasinally have to be able to prove that they sent a specific file (ie, if there is a question about the wrong creative being used for an Ad run)...

Any ideas? Is this possible with DL for Thunderbird now? If not, is it something that could be added in the Addon (without having to modify anything in the Thunderbird core functionality)?

Thanks!

Charles
