Folks, we published a second revision of the mobile traffic steering draft, which includes also details that address some of the comments received so far.
In particular we complement motivating use cases with content on two framework- and deployment options as well as a clear definition of architectural reference points where the draft's core part applies to. Drafted information model has been moved to the appendix. Based on these reference points, we added a section on Operational Aspects, describing three operational modes that leverage a dedicated controller and/or a decentralized control plane between the mobile communication system and the transport network that connects it to the data networks. We'd like to address a few remaining clarifying comments, that have been received so far, in separate mails to the DMM list to foster discussion and prepare for next week.
