again, i must disagree... reason comp as a much more "outboard" algorthims them most of plug ins comps... tweek those knobs and find out! as for soft/unsoft synths i have to say something: 1 - the sound quality of any synth is relative to the audio chain/path. 2- with professional sound cards the sound could be amazing. The output of a real synth is based on the quality of conversion, algorithms, analogue circuits and such. I have to say that in reality is stupid to say that this and that sounds better... IT SOUNDS DIFFERENT! some like it, some don't 3 - out board quality equipment is expensive, and in that digital EMULATION is a good short budget choice. 4 - a good part of nowadays virtual synth engines are manufactured by real synth manufacturers unwilling to destroy their "sound image". some say that you have features in their software only achieved with a proper quality output 5 - i use all and i'm happy!!!!
