OK - I have to say I'm a little late on this discussion but I had read a bunch of posts a few days ago (around the 5th of Dec) on the topic of Reason and it's output.
The more I work with Reason - the more I'm sold on it. Those who pass this off as a toy are seriously going to be left behind. In the past year or so I had considered buying and Emu and losing the old Akia S3000xl - but with Reason - I just dont see the point of that now... The most tedious, frustrating, and time consuming end of my production set up is manipulating samples and transfering them via SCSI back and forth between my G4 and the sampler. SCSI tranfering from computer to sampler (and vice versa) is really glitchy even though I have learned to work around it freezing up. Reason has enabled me to not have to deal with that any more because it's all in the computer. My only hang up with Reason is it's output. I realize this is still really early for Reason as it's still in the first versions of the software and I'm sure there are great things to come. However I'm not gonna sell all my hardware and change my entire set up yet. I would still like to integrate it's use with my existing hardware... Particularly my analog and digital mixing boards and FX racks. So with all that said - here's what I'm asking to those of you whom are using Reason and more specifically those whom are also using it with a Mac: (but please chime in even if you use a PC and have valid input) Is anyone using the Digi001 interface with Reason for output? It seems like it would be a great device fo ruse with Reason/ReWire for output to a mixing board for better control of amplitude and frequencies, and busing.
