i always try to take the tail of the hits as well, and adjust the length
of the notes in the sequencer to give short sharp sounds or longer hits
as required. but i've not tried taking everything from there on - sounds
like a good idea to me - would be useful if you want a little roll of a
couple of hits and dont want to try programming the same set of hits in
your sequencer (and trying to get note length and position right at the
same time)... i'll give it a try sometime!
