I think most of the people will tell you to go with
the Emu...it's definately got "that sound" you'll be
looking for if  you wanna make drum and bass.  I have
an Emu myself, but the MPC's are cool, one day if i
ever have 1300 to spare I'd like to get one.  

If you have a computer, you probably will not use the
sequencer in the MPC though...besides the E4's have
sequencers as well, not sure about the ESI's.
