i'm a very big fan of the L1 Ultramaximizer... i didn't like the bbe, though, it just seemed to give me the effect of bad shelve eq's on the low and high ends (even though it's supposed to do these amazing things with rearranging harmonics and whatnot). every once in a while, i'll run things through my analog mixer and have things clipping just a tiny bit, to get a little bit of fatness, but the ultramaximizer's been great.
