thanks for the reply. yeh, i've had a fake first address ( !000000 ) for a long time now. it's a useful thing to do, and everyone should do this as it doesn't do any harm, but it's not a perfect solution.
i have up-to-date virus protection, and the OE security patches. i've scanned all my OE folders for the addresses that this mail got 'returned' from, and they don't show up at all, not even within a message. i'm absolutely convinced this is someone else fucking around using my email address, and not a virus. i have no idea who might want to do this, as i can't remember upsetting anyone for ages. but i will find out! incidentally i never recieved the email from crix that others mentioned.... keep it frosty, mattrick www.sequential-recordings.co.uk * ----- Original Message ----- From: "mbrodie" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Drum & Bass Arena Discussion List" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, February 14, 2002 9:08 PM Subject: [dnb-prod] Re: OT: weird tings afoot, please read... > The virus has been spreading from several accounts now on the mailing list > this is the second wave of it apparently. > > The rules of the virus are pretty much standard, it sends email to everyone > in your inbox, outbox, or master address list.
