I've got the 20/20 P's, and I noticed that about the bass too. I think it has to do
with the room. What are the dimensions of your room? Standing waves occur at low
frequencies, below 250 Hz. If there is a standing wave, you could be hearing the
effects of constructive interference when you notice more bass 6 feet from your
speakers. If there seems to a be a lack of bass in your "sweet spot" you may be
experiencing deconstructive interference there. About those little high and low
trim Pots..... I would put those at unity to start with. Then go to the web site
below and enter in the dimensions of your room, and it will calculate some possible
problem frequencies based on the 3 different types of room modes (axial, tangential,
and oblique). This help determine which frequencies should fixed.....using
dampening and/or EQ.

hope this helps...
