Hey fellow dnb
producer,

 to find out what
the midi control
numbers of the
knobs on your
midi keyboard
are you can
either
1) move them
around and
you'll see the
control number,
as well as
channel and
value in the midi
status window
on the transport
bar.
2) look in the
back of the
manual for the
keyboard :]

 to find out the
control number
for the sliders
on the
softsynths or
effects (yeah
logic is the shit,
5.0 boh boh
wassup!) you
can again do
two things
1) bring up the
hyperdraw and
where you can
pick velocity,
pitch, mod, etc.
there should be
one called
Other. select
that then in the
window where
you are
prompted to
select a control
number click
and hold and a
roll up menu will
come up, there
will be a
description next
to the numbers
(for some) like
70 would be
attack or
something
2) start
recording on
bus autiomation
or A or B
playback
depending on
the track, you
can look that up
in the
environment. or
it might just
work if you

record on the
track right
away. so start
recording and
move the sliders
you want to find
out the # for.
then just open
the event list
and you'll have
the # there.

so now you
know your
knob #s and
your VST
controllers #.
and you say you
want to tweak.
the quickest
way is to make
a knob in the
environment,
hook it up to the
instrument or
track, and set
the outs and ins
with the info you
got, don't forget
about the
channels ;]. if
you're serious
though, i suggest
building an
environment for
your keyboard
or downloading
one if you can
find it. then its
like sounddiver
and you can
wire it up to
your tracks and
instruments, and
eventually if
you're good
you'll set i t so in
one window
you can
manipulate all
the things you
want to be
manipulating
without double
clicking and
opening shit,
just sliders and
knobs, and you
can choose
colors too i
think it's
option-c or
apple-c, but
that's off topic.
have fun and
congratulations
on stepping into
the wonderful
world of
Automated
Logic, that nasty
dubplate is one
step closer.
