The 824s are great.  I wouldn't give mine up for
anything.

If you're convinced you want Mackie, get a smaller
Mackie.  Behringers are really shoddy -- there are
good ones, but most aren't.  The best way to buy a
Behringer is to audition about 12 of them and pick the
best one.  If you can't do that, I'd say stay away. 
Find a board used.  Get a good one.  You'll be happy
you did later.
