Yo jesse.... I've had this post saved for a while, and I finally checked the track...
I like the intro, but I'm thinkin the release on the bassdrum is a little long... if it were a bit more short and snappy it wouldn't fill up so much low end... then you could work in a sub bass sound or bassline instead of the tribal thumping of the bd... unless that's what you're going for... the synthline you break into at the first break is tight as hell... maybe a little filter sweeping on the first part of it?? the way the drums come in is a little weak... maybe another hi hat line to emphasize the change between the breakdown and main break? I like the song, but I think you could rework the structure and some of the fills to add energy... I'd love a hand at a remix of this, or just a slight reworking if there was some way for me to get the raw tracks... you be down? Lemme know....
