So...

Just upgraded to Cubase 5.0 from 3.65. Still using the same soundcard as
before: A Layla 20 bit. I also got a new 'puter a P4 1.7 running Win 2K
professional.

Cubase will not recogonize midi signals properly. Sometimes they register
("light up") the midi inpout on nthe tranpsort bar, sometimes not (seems to
come and go fairly randomly. NEVER sends any Midi signal back out or light
up the midi out on the transport bar. When I change the settings on in the
"midi system setup" dialog to select the Echo card, they nnever "keep". Once
I close the window then re-open it the settings always return to the crap
defaut onboard card that came with the machine.

Someone on the Cuabse forum said the Layal drivers simply will not support
Cubvase 5.0 and/or Win 2K. Is this true? If so THAT IS UTTER SHITE! I can't
belive Echo would be so shady as to not continue to support their products -
The Layal 20 isn't even that old!?!

Anyone have any suggestions/input???? PLEASE HELP ME OBI-WAN!
