A lot of these tunes have a very housey feel to them IMO, not really something I like, aspecially those typical 49'er-eske house vocal *yikes*. The only tune I dig with those kind of vocal is Dylan's "Need You Now" track, but of course that's my personal taste & preference, and doesn't say jack about the production...which is good btw. The tracks don't bore (if I don't switch them off because some b!tch start whining again :)), structure is good, samples fit etc. Sound quality is probably good, but I hate the way realplayer makes the drumz & bass sound so "flat". I only heard one .ram file ever that was really good quality, but I think it had an insane bitrate (something of Janne I think)
Anyway, my favs of this bunch are: disco : now what's so disco about that track anyway? steppa : like those eery samples, probably a fat sub in there if played on a good system music : these vocals I dig :) heard them in a track by (i think) Carlito & Addiction But the track needs a fatter drop at 1:40 I think, when that vocal goes "all i want is the bass yeah", then that bass sample comes in, there should be something extra going on instead of just that beat kicking in. I'm think some wack sounds pitching up or like that typicall kick getting louder ending in a snare-hit (think Dillinja), or something, as long as it's phat! :) voodoo : oooh, that basssound, just love that sound, sweeet good work, keep it up! ------------------------ On 11 Jul 2002 at 13:01, daze wrote: > not posted any for a-g-e-s so: > > > http://server3003.freeyellow.com/dj-daze/falling.ram > > http://server3003.freeyellow.com/dj-daze/lovin_you.ram > > http://server3003.freeyellow.com/dj-daze/steppa.ram > > http://server3003.freeyellow.com/dj-daze/one_more_time.ram > > http://server3003.freeyellow.com/dj-daze/be_with_you.ram > > http://server3003.freeyellow.com/dj-daze/disco.ram > > http://server3003.freeyellow.com/dj-daze/music.ram > > http://server3003.freeyellow.com/dj-daze/take_me_away.ram > > http://server3003.freeyellow.com/dj-daze/the_player.ram > > http://server3003.freeyellow.com/dj-daze/underground.ram > > http://server3003.freeyellow.com/dj-daze/voodoo.ram > > > > should keep you all busy. > > > > daze > http://www.spin-inn.com/menu.html > > > . > > > --- > Drum&Bass Arena Producers Discussion List http://www.breakbeat.co.uk > You are currently subscribed to dnb-prod as: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] --- ICQ #: 3362938 "progress doesn't come from early risers, progress is made by lazy men looking for easier ways to do things" --- --- Drum&Bass Arena Producers Discussion List http://www.breakbeat.co.uk You are currently subscribed to dnb-prod as: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
