talking crackling,
does anyone know how it's caused?

I have these PC speakers, which are surprisingly good actually, but whenever I touch
the
volume knob, I get crackling in my right speaker.
The right speaker is connected to the left btw, which has all the controls (vol, bass,
terble) and has the power supply & audio I/O plugs.

Basicly I make sure both speakers play properly, and then NEVER tough the volume knob
again, using only software volume control.
