Hey Joe,

Yeah, I got it sorted now on (almost) ZERO latency!! AAAAA HAAA HAAA AAAAA..
hgg hmm..

yeah, you need to go to Devices->Device Manager->Multitrack Audio (or
something)

and then choose your soundcard specific driver..

If it's worked then clicking the 'control panel' button on the same screen
should bring up the settings screen for your soundcard (presuming you have

one)..

If your driver doesn't appear in the list at all then I haven't got a clue..
The only thing I could suggest would be to try the direct x driver or the
multimedia driver and then go into the relevant config applet (in the Cubase
SX program group on the start bar) and then play with the buffer sizes for
optimum latency/performance..

Give a shout if you're stuck man..

Nick

hey nick,

please let me know if you sort this out, because i'm having the same
frustrations... i'll get great latency in logic with the es2, even, but when
i'm working in sx, it's horrible, i'm talking like 300ms or something as
obscene. i know it's not my computer, and i've tried choosing the drivers
for my card (terratec 88d). i dunno if sx is just... refusing to use it or
just not using it properly. i like cubase, but i'll hafta go back to a
program that isn't in development anymore just to have some decent latency.

joe
