Also... what I do is make sure your fx box is set to 0 feedback, so that when you don't send anything back to the delay box using the aux send, you only hear one delay because you regulate the feedback yourself using the aux send. Then use the EQ to gradually filter off the high or low or whatever you want. If you have any other fx boxes with a filter, distortion, flange, whatever you can also put them in the chain. And if you have a limiter or compressor it might nog be a bad idea to put it in there too because sometimes things can really get out of control if the signal going into the delay fx is louder than the signal coming out.
Also try putting no sound in but just use the noise that's always there somewhere... build up the volume of it until you can hear it and then start shaping it with the other fx or eq bands on your desk. Might not be very usefull but fun guaranteed! (and make sure you're recording all of it on your computer/dat/minidisk/whatever) Piet. > -----Original Message----- > From: Muhammad At-Tauhidi [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: woensdag 2 oktober 2002 3:06 > To: Drum & Bass Arena Discussion List > Subject: [dnb-prod] Re: Delaaaaaaaaaaaaay > > > If you are using an outboard fx unit, run the fx out to a > channel on the > desk then open up the aux send to send the delay output back > into itself. > > If you are using a delay plugin then there is often a parameter for > "feeback" which is exactly what this controls.
