I don't know about all over. in SF there seems to be a bit more variety. Here in los angeles, ragga and "dark evil shit" are the most prevalent styles. IMO there are far too many people in LA that are just into the dark and evil stuff. I can see some heads broadening their horizons but I think the mindset that it all has to be completely heavy shit is why you don't hear too much coming out of LA just yet.
Stateside producers are maturing now though. I have high expectations. I'm not saying that because I'm biased either, I totally hated US production for a long time. :) ~andy > -----Original Message----- > From: Terry Morgan [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Thursday, January 30, 2003 8:25 AM > To: Drum & Bass Arena Discussion List > Subject: [dnb-prod] Re: high contrast sucks > > > I think a lot of people have got tired of hearing relentless > reeses/tramens/beat mashups all the time...There are certain > people in the > industry that churn the same shit out again and again for the 16 year old > pill heads to jump around like muppets too.
