Maybe some soul, old r'n'b or such. Used in many tunes. I remember hearing it
first in '93 or '94 in cheezy Kaos Theory compilations featuring old-skool jungle & techno.
clip goes something like this "Oh yeah, you are always on my mind"
It is also used in Bad Company - Mindgames
Just wondering of origins and is it maybe included in some royalty free sample CDs?
Another sample I'm interested is from same BC tune. That reversed high tone, almost like slow single scracth of some vinyl. In this tune it is slowed down a bit and filtered. I've heard that same sample in various forms in many other 2steppish tunes.
Ha, maybe ripping, but some old-much-too-used stuff can be an added juice for live-sets.
