I managed to get everything to work by performing a system restore... In the end it looks like it was some sort of corrupted windows file or setting... it all SEEMS OK now though....

Anyways my SX started jamming at the end too and I found out that it was related
to asio drivers. At least in my case.
How I resolved the prob is that I loaded wpsetup.exe in asio folder.
After that I load Cubase SX. Where it should jam it says about "ASIO.DLL already loaded"
couple times ok and behold, SX loads up. Then just kill wpsetup.exe proggy from memory as it takes a lot CPU. Audio works and everything works as normal after that.
A kludge, yes, but far more convenient for me than to waste couple days installing Cubase and plugins and other shite.
btw. I had some latency probs (who doesn't). :P Jerky audio-playback and whatnot. How I resolved that was to decrease (yes DECREASE) amount of 128KB buffers from 4 to 2. Odd, but after that all sounded ok.

It gets to the very end of the loading sequence and then just jumps straight to the desktop... The crazy thing is that I was using it last night and it was fine.. Nothing's changed (to my knowledge) on my system?!?!
I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it and even reverting back to an earlier release (I'm using 1.03 at the moment)..
Any advice would be massively appreciated.. I've already searched cubase.net but I can't find anything relevant...
