Yep, two is good, I got an Alesis 3630 for 2 mono basslines (subbass and mid range house basses/snarls etc), and a dbx266xl for 2 mono break channels (snappy drums and heavier ones separated)
The Alesis is nice and uncoloured, but the dbx does something to the breaks that make them standout, even the auto is good. I have a friend who rates the dbx over his TLA C1 for breaks. The more costly dbx models would be even better I guess, Cheers Dan (PS - can I have some of your 15k for consultancy fees - jeez, did you rob a bank?) -----Original Message----- From: Big Mac [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 20 March 2003 12:29 To: Drum & Bass Arena Discussion List Subject: [dnb-prod] RE: Compressor How many compressors should I buy? I thought two just to be on the safe side? (Kick, Snare, Bass, etc). Both different manufacturers though? What models? TL Audio C-1 Classic, Joe Meek SC 2.2, etc? _________________________________________________________________ Use MSN Messenger to send music and pics to your friends http://messenger.msn.co.uk --- Drum&Bass Arena Producers Discussion List http://www.breakbeat.co.uk You are currently subscribed to dnb-prod as: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] --- Incoming mail is certified Virus Free.
