It's bad news baby. Software manufactures alert the authorities to
file law suits etc on you as they have the authority to get you info through your ISP. The best you would be looking at is just having your pc siezed by the police.

not that I condone this, but when one uses cracked software, if it is then
registered online, is there a chance that the company will know that it is
cracked, and therefore alert the authorities????

cos a 'friend of mine' was thinking about doing this, so that he may obtain
legit upgrades from the web!
