Actually, it is a production topic. I am a publisher. I write about all types of music and have been a dj for oh about 24 years... Really.. Since like 78 - 79 [I was in the Hip Hop delivery room/Paternity ward].. Now I realize somethings the DJ has become the center or the frikin universe in some circles. I love new music and cannot stand to hear the repetitive bs I hear in some clubs.. Sounds like kindegarten radio .. 5 songs in rotation, etc. The scenes seem to be seperated by enthusiasm. We in the US seem to be complacent for the most part to hear 50 cent just one more frikin time... Fug... Gimme a break.. Half of these cats think 2Step is a dance!... Its really bad.
So as far as a production topic.. I say it is.. I say.. Influence these cats in US to start being creative, and maybe the audiences will respond... Shiz is dyin over this side of the pond yo! I personally haven't been to the U.S. so I can't comment first hand but have spoken to quite a few "faces" in the scene that have and the overall opinion is that U.S. crowds are harder work to get going. BUT when they do start ravin' they have it! Anyway, thats as far as I'm gonna go as its not exactly a "production" topic is it? ;) >From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >Reply-To: "Drum & Bass Arena Discussion List" ><[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >To: "Drum & Bass Arena Discussion List" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Subject: [dnb-prod] London Music Scene VS USA scene >Date: Sun, 30 Mar 2003 14:10:26 EST > >Dear List, > I recently got into a heated argument with a friend that the US >scene >is better than the London scene.
