Hi Not sure about drum modules as i just use my sampler and load in the sounds i want that are stored on my PC hard disk (ripped from cds, or sampled from vinyl etc), but Alesis D4s are only about �100-150 s/h (check the Sound on Sound Reader Adverts if you live in UK and make a deal with someone). One of my mates has a D4 and has never complained about it, so seem ok.
