say your sweeping a bassline. put the bassline on pattern 1. assign the bass sample to efx channel 1. put a filter plugin on efx channel 1. goto pattern 2. right click on the cutoff dial, goto edit events. draw out an 8 bar filter sweep.

goto the playlist editor. put your bassline pattern across 8 bars (assuming its 1 bar long). put the filter on pattern 2 on the first instance of the bassline on pattern 1. it would look like this:

pattern 1(bassline) x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x
pattern 2(filterSwp) x--------------

Doh! Could you possibly explain that a little more? Do I just record a sweep of nothing and then put it on top or something? I am sooooo Confused.
