for initial 'soft' compression. For final mastering compression I use
multiband Waves Renaissance C4 (to adjust drums versus bass) and Timeworks Mastering Compressor. If needed I use Timeworks Mastering EQ and Ozone to adjust delicate parts. For monitoring levels, stereo picture etc I use rather expensive Pinguin Audio Meter and for final cut (to get those levels up and high) Waves L2 mastering compressor.
.
I was just thinking about making dirty basses suign compressions - what's
the deal, do you use the comp to make the filteres out high bits as loud as
the low end bass boom? I quite like the built in SX compression, does anyone
have any other recommended compressors?
