New to D&b producing.... one question how do i get a pass line to rock!
kinda like in this track
http://vitriolix.com/tunes/Vitriolix_-_Skank_Step_(demo).mp3 which sounds

basically i have made a bass sound using a simple synth (called 3osc in fruity) that has lots of overtones, sounds almost like an organ when the filter is open, then i have the low-pass filter start closed and have an envelope on the filter which waits a little bit before opening up so that he goes "oooWAH" on the offbeat... then i did some careful comression/eq to bring out the mid range grittiness, and split the bass into two channels. on one channel i let the full bass through cleanly, on the other i filter out the low end with a high pass so i just have the gritty mids and run that through an reverb to give the bass a little more space/bigness.

very nice by the way!

I'm using reason 2.5

thanks, man!
