Long term we expect to replace dnews with surgenews. We are in no rush though, we will wait until customers are happy that surgenews is fullfilling their needs better.

We will be happy to extend the demo time for anyone in that situation and doesn't wish to purchase an unreleased product.

We have not made any final decision on that. Technically it's tricky with large server the time spent converting the database would be prohibitive. And any conversion would be 'one way' and there for very dangerous. I would generally recommend conversion be done by installing on a new system at some convenient time when a hardware upgrade was being done anyway as it is enormously safer and easier that way.
4) Will existing Dnews users get a discount on the price?
Yes, users with a current registration (e.g. updates or original purchase in the last 12 months) will get a 50% discount.
5) What if I run an open system and don't have any users?
Then you would use the $670 Unlimited option.
6) Will there be a netwin.sugenews group?
Almost certainly.
