I'm running a back-up server for a friend, also running Dnews. Since I did a new Win2003 install, I also re-installed Dnews, and set up the feed. Everything looked fine, I even managed to get the groupslist from his server. I can read all the articles posted on the other server, but when I want to send a reply through my server I get the message 441 <name of group> missing in active.dat!
When I reset the grouplist in my newsreader, I still can see the group appearing.
Can you find the log lines in dnews.log, it may give more information, if you
can't spot the
cause send
dnews.log (showing error)

newsfeeds.conf
and
dnews.conf
