We're now running DNews oun our gateway server, feeding some reader machines running INN (there are no readers on the gateway machine). It looks like some (many?) newgroup messages (Big 8 in particular) are not being propagated to the reader machines.
The newgroup messages that do arrive are all crossposted to other groups in addition to (or instead of) the group being created. The Big 8 messages which we're not getting are always posted only to the group being created.
The newsfeeds.conf file on the gateway machine looks like:
site me groups \ *,!junk,!control,!control.checkgroups,!local\ ...
The "!control, ..." was correct for INN, but is it correct for DNews? Could this be preventing newgroup messages from going downstream?
So the newgroup message is not getting to the INN system ?
Send me your newsfeeds.conf and the headers of an example newgroup message that didn't get to the inn system and I'll investigate further.
